O2 is Having a Great Palm Pre Launch

Today marks the O2 Palm Pre launch over at the UK. And O2 has been tweeting all morning about the Pre launch, reporting that the number of Palm Pre sold today exceeds the total number of handsets they sell on an average day. Not only that, over half of the people that bought a Pre also picked up a Touchstone inductive charger!

As a first gen device it isn't without its flaws... but what a comeback by Palm.
I'm waiting for my PhantomSkin to arrive from the US before buying mine as I intend to keep it in tip-top shape.
realllllly pleased with my pre - the syncing and synergy is fab. Gave my poxy over hyped iphone (underwhelming) to the kids- at last a decent diary and so much more useable (I love just opening keyboard and typing).
The keyboard is absolutely fine - do not know what the fuss was about; I make miles less typos than on the iphone.
As a google apps user though I had to go into googlemail and disable imap...save....enable imap....save...in order to send email from pre. Appparantly a problem at google end but all works great now.
