More overpriced bad apps. how many tranlators, dictionary and religious apps do people need? starting to question my purchase of the pre. Good start of an OS but after that...well there's a lot of work to do.
i should correct by bad i mean uninteresting. they may be well made but i've no interest in the majority of these types of applications.
I agree with rickrock. I mean all these apps are good and all, but there should be more free fun apps or if paid apps, would make sense if they were really good business apps. seriously $0.99 for cointoss?? c'mon, i know everyone's gotta make a living, but that's just bad. I love my pre, I would never buy iPhone, and never have. but you gotta give it to all those free apps they got there. I really hope that Pre isn't gonna be one of those awesome phones with bad apps.
i used to say i wouldn't buy an iphone. that thinking got me to buy a pre. That and the expensive AT&T service but these apps aren't close to what i expected. And for all the itunes is full of fart apps. i thumbed through the catalog and found at least 50 apps for free i'd download, and many more for less then $2 that i'd pay for. It may be full of bad apps but there were tons of decent ones and every week they release nothing inspiring pushes me toward whatever platform isn't like that when my contract ends. i'm stuck with it for now but at some time next year i'll probably start shopping for new phones and the question is will pre have impressed me by then.
C'mon people! I own iphone from the time app store was launched and it took a few months before significant number of apps started flowing into the app store. I remember thinking the same as you guys back then... I could sit on the sofa and brows all the apps in like 15-20 minutes (i mean ALL of them).
Be patient. PRE is a great phone and it will get decent apps soon.
I'm patient to get better apps...what I AM annoyed with is the current PRICE of many of the apps. I am refusing to buy most just based on the fact that I'm not going to get a little time-waster game & put it on my phone for $5-$10. Developers!!! YOU'LL MAKE MORE MONEY IF YOU DROP THE PRICE AND SELL MORE!!!!
I know you want instant payback but seriously, make the app WORTH it if you're gonna charge more!!! I'm not going to drop a small fortune on buying multiple apps!!!!
You forgot about FlashCards. Probably the most useful to student like me. A bit pricey, but you do get what you pay for.
