WebOS 1.3.1 Seeded to Developers and expected to hit before Pixi launch

So we here at PreThinking have been speculating the almost inevitable update that everyone is expecting to hit either on the day of or prior to the Pixi launch. We weren't sure if we were going to be getting a .01 or .1 update until now. Today we have confirmation that 1.3.0 or 1.3.1 is definitely on the way and the update should be made available by Palm in the next few weeks. Developers are getting access to 1.3.1 SDK for beta testing with their apps for compatibility and any other issue that may arise in the update. We cannot give confirmation on changes or when the update will hit exactly but, we have something coming and we are hoping it is big. The questions now are if this will be released outside the U.S. if Palm will fix iTunes sync, and if update parity is on the horizon?

Will the update carry the Flash Player 10 Beta? That is the big question for me!

No, of course not, that will be in a way bigger update, I don't think Flash Player 10 is even "ready" yet

I don't think it will have flash. I hope it has like 100 new features like the last update. If they keep making big changes eventually the phone will be perfect right? :). Super excited go Palm!

The Palm Pre isn't pulling any punches when it comes to attacking iPhone weaknesses. It has copy and paste, data tethering and will support Adobe's Flash.

Flash was confirmed to Newsweek's Dan Lyons weeks ago, but now they're being open about the support.

Palm has joined Adobe's Open Screen Project—an industry initiative designed to bring full web browsing and Flash-based apps to televisions, desktops and mobile devices. So, by definition, this will not only bring a complete web-browsing experience to the Palm Pre, it could also result in the development of standalone Flash apps for the webOS platform. The Flash player for smartphones is expected to be released by the end of the year.

Of course it wont have Adobe Flash Beta 10.1, the beta will most likely just be released by Adobe and wont come to webOS until out of beta.
