GSM Palm Pre on its way to exclusivity on Telcel in Mexico?

Video footage has been released showing a GSM version of the Pre running on Telcel. There hasn't been any official announcement at Telcel just yet, but according to the video Telcel will be the exclusive carrier of the Palm Pre. The video shows the Pre and how it functions. There are no Sprint apps in the launcher and you see the SIM card when they take the back casing off. One major thing to note, and what is causing a little controversy over on twitter, is the mention that this Pre has expandable storage space. No specifics are given and the battery is not removed so we can't see anything on the video but this may be the first Pre with some sort of expandable storage. Though I wouldn't bet my money on it. Well I saw the video and it says , that the Palm Pre will be on sale soon on Telcel, and that it is a GSM phone and that it will have a slot for a micro card.

Yeah, Palm Pre, GSM version with MicroSD Card slot being tested live on TelCel's GSM Network and coming "very soon". I thought that the Pre would come from Telefonica, not only because it's launching all around the world through them, but because TelCel markets the iPhone exclusively.

Thanks for sharing such informative videos about Palm Pr GSM version. I'm now anxiously waiting for it's release. I think AT&T network should launch this with their services. The extension in palm pre accessories (external memory card) has worth and will make good impact in market to attract Palm's users back.

It will come out sim locked to Telcel for sure... But I'm sure it will be possible to free it very easily.
