WebOS 1.3.1 details, expected to arrive after the Pixi launch

The wait is not quite over for Pre users. According to Precentral the Pixi will arrive with 1.2.9 and update immediately and Palm is still working with Sprint to get 1.3.1 out as soon as possible which means sometime after the Pixi launch. This is terrible news but with the partial changelog unveiled by Precentral it is worth the wait.
Read some of the changes you will find in 1.3.1 after the break...
New Apps: The Pre and Pixi are compatible with the new Facebook App in 1.3.1. After you have 1.3.1 you can download the Facebook App from the App Catalog directly.
Synergy: Yahoo Messaging integration in the Messaging App.
New Text Message options: The messaging app can now handle text forwarding, copying a single message, and deleting a message by simply tapping on a specific message in the messaging app. A dialog pops up asking you to choose if you want to Copy, Forward, or Delete.
Music player feature: When you tap and hold Rewind or Fast Forward now a ball or 'Scrubber' pops up so you can drag the song or podcast to the desired location.
Embeded Video content: Now when you are viewing a web page and there is a Flash video available it has a Flash logo indicating it is Flash content. If the video is viewable on YouTube then when you tap it your WebOS device will open the YouTube app and begin to buffer that content.
PIN Changes: You can now set when you want the PIN to lock based on when the screen turns off or when a certain amount of time passes up to 30 minutes. Also you can now add a longer PIN if necessary.
Features behind the scenes:
There is now an option in the launcher 'though it is greyed out now' to change the default apps launched for Specific tasks. These tasks are Phone numbers, Web Links, Email Address, and Map Addresses. What this means is if you were to be browsing the web in either the WebOS default browser or a third party browser when you tap a link it will open that link in the specified 'default' browser. Another example would be an address. Right now when you click an address link in any app or on the Web it will take you directly to the Google Maps app. If you change the default app then you could have it take you directly to Sprint Nav or another third party software instead.
The App Catalog is now filtered by Device: This doesn't mean the Pixi can't run WebOS apps or that it is being dumbed down by any means. What this means is an app that works on the Pre because of its hardware such as the WiFi app in the catalog that shows you the settings for the WiFi you are connected to would not show up in the Pixi's filtered catalog because the Pixi does not have WiFi. Also the Pixi would not show apps that are not yet converted to fit the Pixi's smaller screen.
So this is the list we have now and of course we will update you as soon as the official changelog comes out. You can expect more features than this but some might be harder to find than others. Also I am sure there will be a ton of notable bug fixes/changes and that will be given as soon as its released!

So...1.3 will not offer anything new that's not already offered through patches that we already have...other than a new facebook app that you cannot chat on.
I'm liking this list!!
worhtless
Nothing on that list excites me to be honest. I'd really like support for Picasa to be added, especially as the Pre is so hot on other Google services.
