Sprint Ad Advertises Palm Pixi as WiFi capable

This is a screw up on Sprint's part. The Sprint Holiday ad featuring the Palm Pixi is listing "Wifi capable" as one of its features. But you guys, the readers of PreThinking knows well that this gorgeous device does not have Wifi capability. And it's sad.

As a reminder, Palm Pixi launches on the 15th of this month, priced at $99 with contract, available at local Sprint Stores, Best Buy, RadioShack, and select Wal Mart locations. And definitely with the next webOS firmware.

That would be great. Let's start a campaign to convince Palm to include Wifi on the GSM pixi version...

What about those two "holes" at the upper left? Haven't seen these "holes" on any pixi pic over the web yet. Looks like an camera with led light? Maybe this pixi is able to take video calls?

Those holes are wi-fi antenna ports. The November 15 release of the pixi does have wi-fi.

WIFI antenna ports?! Are you sure the PIXI will be WIFI capable? Sprint just updated the ad and removed "WIFI capable". It would a pleasant surprise if the PIXI comes with WIFI. I would consider dropping my SERO plan to get this phone if it came with WIFI.

the "two holes" are melted water from the animated snow. haha.

At least one of the holes is a light sensor. The screen dims when there's less ambient light and brightens when there's more. Makes it much easier to see and helps save battery life.
