According to a recent report by the Wall Street Journal, executives at Wal Mart said they would be picking up the Palm Pre as part of their strategy to pick up the left over business from Circuit City. According to one of Wal Mart's executives, Gary Severson, Wal-Mart's senior vice president of home entertainment, "Circuit City's business is up for grabs right now and we expect to get our share." Wal-Mart executives said the stores would soon offer Palm Inc's Pre smartphone, a highly anticipated gadget, which Wal Mart expects to add to their line up shortly.

Question is pricing: Wal Mart has companies come in and bid to price their product to be cheaper than anyone else. Is Wal Mart willing to pick up Circuit City's drop offs and not take an initial cut in pricing, or will pull a move on pricing like they did with the BB Bold and get a higher service contract? Only time willl tell.
