Palm WILL Support preDevCamp (Smart Move)

First off, for those that don't know what preDevCamp is, basically it's an "upcoming not-for-profit gathering to develop applications for Palm Pre using both the Mojo SDK and traditional web standards. The event is currently being planned in over 60 cities around the world."
About 2 days ago, the preDevCamp crew got the news that Palm will NOT support them. And many of the members expressed their anger towards Palm's stupidity. That they are leaving their role in preDevCamp and possibly joining the "iPhoneDevCamp"!
Well, yesterday, Pam Deziel, the VP Developer Marketing for Palm, announced that Palm WILL in fact, support the preDevCamp! Kudos to Palm...
The entire Blog post:
Folks,
I’ve had private conversations with a number of predevcamp organizers since Gio’s post yesterday. Gio and I had a very positive conversation this morning. I’ll say the same thing here that I told him and the other organizers:
- Palm supports preDevCamp 100%
- We overreacted to the whole disclosure issue. We’ve been in stealth and super secret mode for so long now, we needed a real world conversation to see how we needed to work things so everybody can operate in their own environment.
- As messy as it feels right now, the passion of the community is incredibly positive
I’m optimistic that we can find a good solution. And we’re going to keep talking. We’d love to get your two cents, concerns, and suggestions — feel free to join the conversation here, and be assured that even when we sometimes have to keep quiet, we’re always listening to your ideas.

glad they came to their senses.
It would've been a grave mistake of Palm to do that. Glad they came back to the game and I cannot wait for this to come to Australia I will be getting ASAP when it does!
Big of Palm to admit mistake. Hearing the stealth policy of the Pre launch, it's understandable, as is developer frustration. Alot of class was shown on both sides.
Let's not lose sight of the fact that this is still going to be the coolest thing in a very long time. Dude!
