Sprint Message Prior to Pre Launch: Devices First, Apps Come Later

Sprint's Kevin Packingham, in charge of product development said “You’re not going to get a critical mass of developers coding for the new platform until you give them devices, there’s only so many things you can control in the initial delivery.”

Mr. Packingham noted there were bug issues which caused the Pre to crash, but they were being addressed with the App Catalog. He went on further to say “The moment a device is ready is when you can say the foundation of it is ready.”

I hope that they get this launched soon and work with the PreDevCamp in August to produce some great apps!

bullshit. the sdk should be out there already. the emulator is good enough to test and run. why do you need a device?
