Guy smashes his old iPhone for his new Palm Pre!

Title says it all. John, who just switched from his 1st Gen. iPhone to the Pre, thought there was no better way to show his love for his new Pre than to: Smash his iPhone with a steel Hammer! Epic. Though extreme, not to this level.
He calls the 3 photos, "Problem, Method, Solution".

Yeah exactly. If I was Palm, I'd be hi-fiving everyone in the office if something like this came out. And buying an original iPhone and smashing it is a negligible expense for a marketing budget.
Plus, this article is on a website that seems to do nothing but gush about the Pre and heap crap on the iPhone

I wonder who is going to do the same to the Pre after the new iPhone's hit the market, or after a very cash rich Apple sues an almost penny less Palm out of existence for blatant patent violations?
It's bad enough when you poach someone's employees, over two hundred of them, and then use their ideas and patents, in order to make the Pre think it's the other guy's hardware, so int turn, it can use it's software to sync your music!
That's hilarious...not the obviously faked photo sequence, but that there are people out there with a "your phone sucks monkey ass, and mine (or even more sad, the phone I want) rules" attitude. Wow!

This could very well be astroturf marketing for Palm Pre. Would be hard, maybe impossible to prove, but it's possible.

This is a hoax. I know this because it was my phone that John accidentally smashed.
John and I are lovers, or at-least we were. We actually split after this incident. We both work at a high-end hardware store. The argument was that if the hammer was pushed-into my @$$, would I be able to wield it with enough force to drive a nail (off camera).
The photos were actually taken to submit to the manufacturer of the Pro Series hammer. John was hoping that the rubber on the handle wasn't absorbed into his rectal walls, and if so, would it be harmful to him.

look at the screen he had of pulled it apart to get it out. so for that it is a fake
