Sprint Says Palm Pre is Exclusive to Sprint for Longer Than 6 Months

At the Palm Pre launch event in New York on Friday, CNET editor Maggie Reardon interviewed Sprint CEO Dan Hesse, who explained that the Palm Pre is exclusive to Sprint for longer than the six months recently reported. Hesse also talked about what Sprint thinks makes the Pre a unique product and answered the question of whether Sprint will ever get the iPhone.

Does this mean, that it will also not be released to Europe as a GSM-Version within the next 6 months?

I'm in the states right now and normally live in germany, but the CDMA-Version does not work in Europe :-(

He danced around the question of exclusivity and never really answered it. What's wrong with "yes" or "no". Mr. Heese's answer leads me to believe the the Verizon announcement is accurate.

He never actually said it was exclusive for longer than 6 months. I dont care though.. no cdma technology in my country anymore. just hurray the hell up with the gsm
