Confirmed: webOS 1.2 does not bring back iTunes Sync

Palm did NOT restore back iTunes (Version 9) Sync capability in webOS 1.2.0, maybe in 1.2.1? Did USB-IF really impact Palm's decision in bring back iTunes sync? I was hoping there would be a War of some sort.

How do you know!?!? Oh, you installed WebOS 1.2.0 and tried it? It didn't work? Well... then... nothing to see here...
New "front page" Palm App Catalog with WebOS upgrade
what I don't understand is the uproar over all of this. If you want itunes sync, stop updating your version of itunes. Simple?
If Palm and the Pre are so great, why, oh, why can't Palm try to create its own syncing software? Imagine if Windows Mobile tried to this, or if Apple insisted on using Microsoft's own software?
@ Don
i'm quite sure apple insists that Microsoft not ban Itunes from Windows computers though.
Can someone tell me whether Palm has any plans of bringing back the Tasks app from the old Treos? It is so far superior to the lame Task app in pre. Also any talk of keeping the Palm Desktop sync too? i'm talking about everything - contacts, memos, calendar, tasks, pics, etc.
The Task App on Treo 600-680 are so much better than the new Task on Pre it's ridiculous. I won't buy a Pre until they bring the old Tasks back.

Does a great job syncing Itunes Photos, videos, and music. F*&K itunes just use this....

@Rickrock...
I WISH microsoft WOULD ban itunes from working I would LAUGH at the poetic revenge in that one!!! =)
*Yawn* move on. So tired of iTunes news. I'm a Mac user, I use iTunes all the time, but I really don't care if my Pre syncs with it or not.
Palm should just make a simple app that parses the iTunes library xml file and use that info to sync using their own tools.
RIM and others are doing it.
Nobody is asking Apple to support it. The point is that Apple is intentionally breaking syncing with the Pre. That's the difference.
