The facebook app has been updated to version 1.1.0, bringing some much needed features.

New Features:

Enhanced Inbox – Now, your inbox lets you compose, send, and reply, so you can always access your Facebook messages.

Photo albums – Now you can view photo albums from all your friends, not just the photos in their news feeds. Uploading photos is easier as well, and includes the ability to add captions.

Profiles – The new app lets you view users' profiles, whether they are your friends or not. View and post to their walls, view their information, and see their photo albums (subject to privacy settings, of course).

Events and birthdays – Now you can see upcoming birthdays from your friend list as well as upcoming events.

Friend search – Easily find your friends using the Friend Search feature. This takes you to their profile, where you can see and post to their wall, view their information, and look at their photos.

With the introduction of the 'Plus' devices, there will be a new App called 'Hot Spot' which allows you to Tether to multiple devices.

WebOS 1.4 will bring Video Recording, editing and sharing right on your Pre or Pixi.

Flash 10.1 plugin coming to the Pre and Pre Plus soon. No Pixi.

Innovative 3D games on the Palm Pre and Palm Pixi may be just around the corner. With the release of webOS 1.3.5, Palm has apparently slipped in a software library called 'Simple Directmedia Layer' or SDL. What's SDL you ask? It's a cross-platform software library that gives developers a low-level hardware access, so they can add things like accelerated 3D graphics. With all this happening, devleoepr zsoc was able to port the game DOOM onto the Pre with functioning keyboard controls. To get the game on your Pre involves some work with the Terminal app, but the developer promises an easier solution soon.

WebOS 1.3.5 Update is out NOW!

We were expecting to see this sometime between the earnings call and CES next month, but it is available now. The change log is a pretty decent size for how small the actual download is,(13MB) but there are a few much needed fixes there. Some of the bigger features include a removed App Limit, battery improvements, speed improvements on the Pixi, and some new features in the App Catalog. There really aren't too many new features. The update seems to just fix bugs and issues with WebOS but it is exciting none the less. On to the feature list!
