How to: Add/Change your Wallpaper on your Palm Pre
Got tired of the pre loaded wallpapers? Why not get something new then, won't take you more than 5 minutes. Let's get to the chase.
Adding wallpaper(s) to your Palm Pre:
- Have your image as the new wallpaper ready on your computer. It must be in 320 x 480pixels. (Check out our wallpapers optimized for the Pre here.)
Connect your Palm Pre to the computer using the Micro-USB cable that came with the Pre.- Your Pre will ask to Media Sync, USB Drive or Just Charge. Choose USB Drive.Your Pre will now show up as an External Hard Drive on your computer. For Macs, you'll find 'Palm Pre' on your desktop and for windows, it's in 'My Computer'.
- Click on 'Palm Pre' and you'll find yourself looking at several folders. One of which is labeled 'Wallpapers'.
- Drag and Drop your preferred wallpaper(s) in the "Wallpapers" folder and you're done!

Changing your Wallpaper on your Palm Pre:
Method1:
- Open the 'Photos' App
- Choose Wallpapers or any other photo album which your new Wallpaper is located at.
- Scroll down to your new wallpaper and open it
- Hit the upper left icon for the drop down menu
- Hit 'Set Wallpaper'
- It'll ask to Set Wallpaper again, hit it.
Method 2:
- Flip to the 3rd page of apps where all the settings and preferences are, and open 'Screen & Lock'
- Hit Change Wallpaper
- Choose Wallpapers or any other photo album which your new wallpaper is located at.
- Scroll down to your new wallpaper and open it
- Hit 'Set Wallpaper'

Just another hint.. as you probably already know, the Pre has the same screen resolution as the iPhone (boo..) but anyway.. Option "A" would be a quick Google search for "iphone wallpapers", which will get you plenty of sites with plenty of results already sized and ready to go for your Pre. Option "B" would be to use Google's newly-renovated "Advanced Image Search" to specify the "exact image resolution" to be 320x480 of course and then you can use the "match any of the following" for something like "abstract, 3d, nature, etc".. whatever you want.
