Palm's App Catalog reaches 300 apps
Last night we saw eight new apps hit the catalog and it was a little upsetting. We were hoping it was a just a tease and it turns out it definitely was. Today reached 300 apps and in the new additions there are some really exciting entries. A couple of the more notable apps to hit the catalog today include Scoop, which is developed by our friends at Pivotal Labs, Inc who brought us Tweed, Net2Streams Pro, which gives us internet radio streaming brought to us by Shoutcast and more, and a new 3D Zombie game called Zombie Invasion. Pretty exciting stuff and WebOS users are definitely looking forward to giving the new apps a try. Another thing to take from this is Palm took about three and a half months to reach the 200 app mark. The jump from 200 to 300 apps only took a matter of about two weeks. Palm definitely is not short on new apps to add to the catalog in fact, it seems as though there are more and more apps being released in shorter time periods. This either means that there are a lot more developers on the scene or Palm has a huge back log of apps submitted and is finally feeling confident enough to put them in the App Catalog. This is super exciting and it will give potential WebOS buyers looking at getting the Pixi on the 15th something more to look forward to.
Check out the list of new and updated apps after the break!
