Certain Sprint Stores to Stay Open Late June 5th; Sell the Palm Pre Early

Confirming Posts by both Engadget and PreCentral, I have confirmed that 'some' locations outside of the "Launch Party" locations will be open until Midnight to assist in the sales of the Palm Pre. This is confirmed for "Premier Customers" only. Many stores will close an hour early, only to reopen for the Palm Pre launch sale up until Midnight on the day of June 5th, 2009. So all of you Pre fans that are hankering for Palm Pre and as long as you are part of the "Premier Customers" group, start giving your local Sprint stores a call if you are located outside of the several cities which are having the Palm Pre launch parties.

The guys over at MobileCrunch post the following information: At least you can use the Store Locator tool on Sprint’s website to figure out which stores will stock the phone on June 6th. Simply put in your info and look for the locations that list special store hours.

OUCH! Palm Pre Now on Best Buy for $849

Looks like Best Buy has decided to include the Palm Pre on their website in full retail view for the meager price of only $849.99. This is probably Best Buy attempt to let employees and other buy it without contract people that Best Buy intends to sell the phone with Sprint's full two year contract. It's not to be expected that Best Buy would raise the price a little, but $849.99? Come on.
