Palm is a Twitteraholic for sure! They keep us updated when new versions of WebOS are out, when there are Palm Pre or Palm Pixi giveaways. They always keep us up to date. Here are the important Palm twitter accounts to follow!

@Palm  <- This Twitter account is everything general to Palm. Sometimes they answer questions, sometimes they retweet news or pictures and have giveaways for the Pre/Pixi all the time and let us know when new updates are out.

@WebOSDev <- This Twitter account usually gives us updates or guidelines for anything regarding the WebOS SDK and anything regarding WebOS Developers including sometimes responding to general questions and giving tips.

@PalmNewApps <- This Twitter account is brand new as of today and was set up to let us know whenever they add to or update the Palm App Catalog. This is great so we can download brand new apps the minute they arrive in the App Catalog.

My Laser Engraved Palm Pre

After getting the matte Touchstone battery door, the standard glossy cover was just sitting in my desk drawer collecting dust. Then came a tweet from @spckeishou (Mark), whom suggested getting the glossy back engraved for free at the Sprint Studio that he works at. And after a few days, my glossy battery door was off to the studio for engraving!

New in the App Catalog: Tweed 0.9.7 has landed and other updates (June 20th, 09)

Title says it all. Go to the App Catalog/Update Utility right now to get updated for Tweed (Woo Hoo!), Spaz, AccuWeather, mobile by CitySearch and Flixster!

This is the very first update for Tweed, the popular twitter client for the Palm Pre, and it's packed with new features and bug fixes!

• Shorten Urls button in compose tweet scene

Is Tweed The First WebOS Twitter App for Palm Pre? It Looks Like It.

The guys over at everythingpre noticed a new Twitter client, in which we caught too, popping up over at on Twitter. Doing some Google searching, we weren't able to find out any information on the client. But the Tweed snapshot above, links directly to to PivotalLabs, who also happen to be development partner for the Palm webOS platform, as reported.

Palm Pre Takes Twitter Test And Passes

Lucky are the few of us that have had the opportunity to hold the Palm Pre. Luckier are those like verdiergpd via Twitter who just tested out the Palm Pre twitter application. This is good news for all of you that are lining up for the Palm Pre. Now you can Tweet about your experience after you activate your phones!!

Palm Pre beta tester on Twitter, says release date is 4/30

As I was questing for new Palm Pre news, I stumbled upon this interesting tweet from Jim Van, CEO of Logiccom. In his own words:

"Got Pre to work on Twitter, but it's a tad cludgy..."

It was a bit confusing at first so I took a peek at his recent tweets. It turns out that, apparently, he and a bunch of others are doing some beta testing for the Palm Pre. And today would be the 2nd day, since he first got his testing model.

According to his tweets:

• They're doing the "final testing" for the Pre. Could this mean that it's ready?
• Release date to be 4/30!
• Pre seems 2 work so well w/ Facebook. Can't seem to get it 2 play w/ Twitter yet.
• Battery's going strong after 8 hours of mixed use
• They do testing for Sprint and WiMax phones
• He got the Pre on 3/26

If what he's saying is true, that the Pre is in its "final testing" phase, then this may well prove that it will be out before the next iPhone does. And as for his release date of 4/30, it would work if Palm and Sprint ramp up marketing efforts before the end of April. Of course this could all be made up, until he posts some Palm Pre UI pictures, as promised.
